In an effort to encourage its grower’s members to become more active in marketing canola, the Manitoba Canola Growers Association develop a marketing wall calendar that would provide daily tips and reminders about marketing to growers.
The calendar is a start for growers looking and accessing information on marketing. It is fulfilled with daily and monthly tips on marketing and agronomic information on canola. It’s been a project that MCGA feels is important as part of their organization. "This calendar is made for producers by producers", Bruce Dalgarno, MCGA marketing chairperson states. It has been a collaboration effort with Manitoba Farm Business Management Council.
The Canola Council of Canada designed the marketing calendar. The MCGA calendar has been sent out to all 60,000 canola growers from BC to Ontario through the Canola Digest.
