Ingredients:

Directions:
1. In a large bowl, combine yeast, sugar, 2 cups (500 mL) flour and salt. Mix well. Add warm water, canola oil and beaten egg. Mix well. Add approximately 2 cups of additional flour, or enough extra flour to form a nice soft dough. Knead dough for 7 to 8 minutes. Cover and let rest 10 - 15 minutes.
2. Divide dough into three equal pieces. Roll pieces out on a floured surface to form three, 24-26 inch ropes.
3. Pinch three ends of each rope together and begin to braid the three ropes. Once the braid is completed, form it into a circle. Tuck the finished end of braid under the first part of the braid and pinch dough together to hold braid shape.
4. Place the braid on a canola oil sprayed or parchment lined baking sheet. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 45 minutes or until doubled in size.
Glaze
Ingredients:

Directions:
5. To make Glaze: whisk together egg white and water. Brush on top before baking.
6. Bake at 350 F (180 C) for 35-45 minutes.
