What role should genetically modified food crops play in the lives of:

• Consumers
• Farmers

If we use GM canola as the model, there are three possible decisions that need to be explored:

• Farmers should have the option of growing GM canola and consumers should have the option to buy products made from GM canola.
  
  
• Producers should have the option to grow GM canola, but consumers should have the option not to buy products that were made from GM canola.
  
  
• Producers should not grow GM canola and therefore there will not be any GM canola products in the grocery store.
