MCGA Does It Again

The Manitoba Canola Growers Association is once again putting out a Marketing Calendar. You will be able to find it in your copy of the upcoming "Canola Digest".

The calendar will give you monthly tips on marketing your canola. Tips such as, in January, suggesting that you calculate your operating cost per acre. In the calendar, producers can access forms, tips and enjoy the many scenes of Manitoba. President Bruce Dalgarno, stated "he hoped that producers find these tips useful and would encourage members to review the calendar and provide feedback on the value of it."

This is the second year of the marketing calendar. It is distributed through the Canola Digest as an insert going out to all canola growers in Canada, that is approximately 60,000 growers and key industry people. MCGA has committed to its growers to provide marketing information. Members expressed an interest in learning more about marketing the canola they grow, including information about using futures, options and understanding the basis.

MCGA has teamed up with Canola Council of Canada, Manitoba Farm Business Management Council, Advanta Seeds, AgPro/Sask Pool, Pioneer, and Dekalb, Canterra Seeds and Monsanto to make this calendar possible.

The Manitoba Canola Growers Association is a non-profit organization made up of producers who share the goal to develop and promote the development and marketing of Manitoba grown canola.
