There will be no elections in 2008. The next election will take place in the Fall of 2009.
Election Rules
Voting Instructions:
- Mark a clearly identifiable “X” on the voting paper opposite the name of each candidate for whom the member desires to vote;
- May vote for a maximum of four candidates (a vote for fewer candidates is a valid vote);
- Place the completed ballot into the official, postage paid, return envelope provided, and mail to Meyers Norris Penny LLP (MNP) at 500 - 1661 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3J-3T7;
- Completed ballots must be received by MNP by 5:00 pm on December 10, 2007. MNP will destroy any ballots received after this deadline;
- Any voting paper that is not marked or dealt with in accordance with the foregoing procedure is INVALID and will be declared invalid by the Returning Officer.
Ballots with voting instructions will be mailed to members by November 15, 2007, based on the membership list current to September 30, 2007, in accordance with the bylaws.
The scanning and counting of the ballots will commence at 9:00 a.m., December 11, 2007 at the office of Meyers Norris Penny LLP at 500 - 1661 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3J-3T7
Elected nominees will be notified as soon as possible. A formal announcement will be made at
the MCGA annual meeting and in the Canola Digest.
New Directors will assume their MCGA responsibilities following the annual meeting January
