Manitoba Canola Growers Elects New President

January 17, 2006

The Manitoba Canola Growers Association, at the reorganizational meeting, elected Brian Chorney from East Selkirk as their new President. “I am looking forward to the challenges we face in the coming year. One issue that must be addressed is biodiesel in Canada. Europe and the USA have strong biodiesel industries while Canada is lagging. The Manitoba Canola Growers Association is determined to change that.” Stated Brian Chorney.

Other officers elected were:

Brad Day of Deloraine was elected as Vice Chairman.

Tom Kieper of Russell was elected as Secretary.

Ernie Sirski of Dauphin was elected as Treasurer.

Dale Gryba of GilbertPlains and Bruce Dalgarno of Newdale were elected as Marketing Co-Chairmen.

Ed Rempel of Starbuck was elected as Public Relations Chairman.
